Seether and Lostprophets

Seether and Lostprophets were playing at the Melkweg in Amsterdam and both bands were excellent!

Seether started the night, and they played a set that consisted of new and older material. From the new album they played “No Jesus Christ”, “Rise above this” en “FMLYHM” and "Fake it". The sound was excellent and they also played a semi-acoustic version of Broken, with only guitar and keyboards. They also played the Nirvana-cover “In bloom” (excellent choice!). All in all a strong show.

Lostprophets have been working on a new album and so they had not toured in 10 months although you could not tell because they rocked! The Setlist included "Can't catch tomorrow", "A town called hypocrisy", "Rooftops", "Last summer", "Burn Burn" en "Shinobi vs. Dragon Ninja". They even played a new song which they taught the audience first so we could join in. The new track is called "It’s Not The End of the World, But I can See It from Here" which is an excellent song, and I can't wait for the new album to come out...

Here is the complete setlist for Lostprophets:

We Still Kill the Old Way
Ride
Can't Catch Tomorrow
A town called hypocrisy
Kobrakai/Fake Sound of Progress
Rooftops
Start Something
Last Summer
End of the World (new Song)
Everyday Combat
Last Train
Shinobi vs. Dragon Ninja

Champions

Yes, we did it: we are champions!!

We won our last match against the other contender for the title with 5-0 and so we are Champions this season..

I won my last match in the men's doubles with 6-1, 6-3 so I managed to go the whole competition without a defeat. 12 matches played, 12 matches won.

Next year I better be playing in a higher division ;-)

Tennis, again

Last weekend we won 4-1. I only played the singles match and won that one 7-5, 6-0. I am now 11 matches undefeated!

Next week we play the number 1 team. We go into the match with 1-0 (I won the singles match 3 weeks ago before the rest was postponed due to rain). So if we win the remaining 4 matches we are champions... not an easy task... so wish us luck...
